abolishment of money would definitely stop the need for wars and most crimes, but that will take a while to put into play wouldn't it?

Not necessarily. After a syndicalist system is imposed, the transition from Anarcho Syndicalism to Anarcho Communism would be a lot easer (than for example, capitalism to anarcho communism).
